One Hell of a Night

As the music starting roaring I realized this was about to be one hell of a night. Two twelves roaring in the back from the 1200 watt pyramid, head rocking like grandma’s favorite chair and the only thing that I could hear was the bass beat as if I were holding a stethoscope to heart and listening to it beat. The boys and me were on our way to our first college party as real college students.

As we continued rocking to the music and weaving in and out the people doing sixty-five in the slow lane we felt on top of the world. It was like we never been out partying before, I mean sure we have, but not like this. This was a whole new experience to us; we were finally grown and out on our own. No more living with parents and listening to that curfew bull we made our own rules and tonight was going to show it.

When we walked in the living room it was like nothing I really never seen before people were everywhere and the environment was so cool and chilled out but yet so hype. I was partying with everyone blacks, whites even people I did not know, and the thing that made it better was that there was no one to start drama everyone just wanted peaceful fun.

As I moved on to the kitchen I realized that the real party was in there just getting started kegs, beer pong, crazy eights and all other drinking games you could think of. Never playing any of them before I got curious and decided to try my luck one of the games, now not being a big drinker or a big fan of beer it put me in a catch twenty-two because I did not want to get drunk on the card games but the game that seem fairly easy had the consequences of a bad taste. As I being to toss the ball across the table I was confident that I was going to do good and maybe even win, but the hopes and dreams soon became shattered when the opposing team threw the ball back and I had to start drinking.

After I got my ass kicked in beer pong I decided my career was pretty much done and that I could not take it professionally on the road, but I did realize that the college parties have a different atmosphere then high school parties, maybe because you are dealing with adults that have to much to lose based on one night of ignorance opposed to teenagers who don’t have anything at all to lose because they still are not at the stage of maturity. Whatever the case may be one thing is apparent and that I am in a new area and glad that I have stepped into it.
